Roger Duthie5 StarDoc Matney is an awesome dentist and I miss him terribly. He was my family's dentist for 15 years in Dubai. I disliked going to dentists until I met Dr. Matney because had a way about him which put me at ease. His bedside manner was impeccable as was his steady hand and keen eye. He oversaw my children's dental hygiene from childhood to adolescence and both have outstanding results. Not only a wonderful dentist but a good man too and I would not hesitate to recommend him.Friday 8th March 2019
Lyssakim Thompson5 StarDavid was our family dentist for 15 years. He is the best dentist I have ever had, he is gentle, so many dentists I had before would hurt me. He is honest, even if we had full insurance, he never pushed to do unnecessary procedures and he is kind with kids.Thursday 7th March 2019
THOMAS McKenzie5 StarI really appreciate the excellent care and professionalism of this dental practice. A special thank you to Michelle who was able to get back to me with the ability to move my appointment from 3:00 to 1:00 to help me get out of town sooner ahead of 66 traffic. She made my day ! I also am quite pleased with Jennifer my hygienist. She is very gentle and helps me understand the importance of taking care of my gums and teeth.berybgood care and I really feel appreciated by this great group of professionals. Thank you very much....Damian McKenzieFriday 12th June 2020
Oleg M1 StarDr. Maney is good in his craft, however he employs unprofessional and unethical staff who can’t interact with patients. I prepaid for the nightguard which was not covered by the insurance ($680) but it was not delivered for 3 weeks, which prompted me to look elsewhere. When I started looking in different offices, the cost ranged from $100 to $300. When I called and asked why I am being overcharged, I received horrible treatment, and had to deal with an emotionally unstable person( Jackie) who hung up on me.
When I called back to cancel the appointment and still request the refund, I more senior admin (Amy) provided an absolutely false narrative of what we discussed with Jackie, and was accused of things I never said. Not to mention that they refused to provide the refund for the service they never delivered.
I was a loyal patient for more than 3 years, but it took 1 incident to ruin the trust in his office.Thursday 24th February 2022
Yh Park1 Starjust called the office for an appointment due to gum inflammation and pain with the dentist, but the front desk kept pushing me to get a cleaning and see the hygienist instead of the dentist that i requested. this unprofessional front desk said that since the pain only just started, i needed to wait to see the dentist, but i should see their hygienist to get the evaluation (which should be done by a dentist) and cleaning first. excuse me ?
Hey, David, is this how you run your pathetic little business to make extra bucks ? pushing every new patient to get the cleaning first before they can see you? or is your front desk stupid enough to tele diagnose the condition and needs of new patients? David, your front desk kept asking when was the last time i had a cleaning and kept pushing me to get a cleaning while i was calling to see the dentist due to pain.
This outta be the first time when i called to make an appointment with the dentist due to pain but was told by the front desk that i needed to wait a few days to see if the pain persisted, however, i should see a hygienist for evaluation and a cleaning. Does that sound ethical to you?
THIS PRACTICE SURE SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME. STAY AWAY. THEY ARE SO EAGER TO MAKE MONEY THAT THEY LET GO OF PROFESSIONAL AND ETHICAL STANDARDS. DAVID MATNEY WILL BE REPORTED TO THE VIRGINIA DENTAL BOARD FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION.Tuesday 29th March 2022
