Dr. Allie Lonneman & the team at Arlington Tongue Tie Center are dedicated to changing the lives of infants & children by helping them eat, speak & sleep better! We combine specialized surgical skill with the most advanced, gentle laser technology in a comfortable, friendly setting. We provide Laser Frenectomy, Infant Frenectomy and Child Frenectomy procedures.  Dr. Allie is the founder of the Arlington Tongue Tie Center, Arlington’s first practice exclusively focused on Laser Frenectomy treatment of tongue-tie and lip-tie in infants & children. As a pediatric dentist, she has successfully treated hundreds of babies with oral restrictions with Infant Frenectomy in Virginia.  ​Although both Erbium and CO2 lasers work by vaporizing the water in the cells, research shows that CO2 lasers are 10x more efficient than Erbium lasers (i.e. WaterLase) at bleeding control in Laser Frenectomy Procedures. Many pediatric dentists utilize Erbium lasers due to their applications in dental procedures, like removing cavities. Our focus is NOT on Laser Dentistry. We specialize in tongue-tie and lip-tie releases - which is why we utilize the best laser for Infant Frenectomy and Child Frenectomy procedures.

Dr. Allie and the team at Arlington Tongue Tie Center are great. Every question was answered, and we never felt rushed or pressured into treatment. Dr. Allie is knowledgeable and kind. The consultation was very thorough, and every step was of the procedure was explained as well as what to expect after the procedure. The recovery was easy, and we have already seen improvement. Even if you don’t live close (we traveled quite a distance to be here), it is worth the drive! We would recommend Dr. Allie and her team to anyone with tongue or lip tie issues.

Finally a provider in Northern Virginia that isn’t trying to sell an unnecessary procedure! After going for a consultation at a different office in the area, we were told we “need” a medical procedure for our child. Dr. Allie completed a thorough evaluation and took the time answered all of our questions. She recommended we work with a lactation consultant and re-visit the release only if no improvement was noted. After working with a local IBCLC, we had significant improvement and are able to have a successful breastfeeding relationship. We never felt pressured at Arlington Tongue Tie Center and received so much excellent feedback. We’re so thankful for the second opinion we received here!

I would do this a million times over. It was an immediate difference noticed in feeding. Dr. Allie is incredible. I stressed myself so much over putting my infant through this, but it was so quick (less than 5 minutes) and she is now thriving. Worth every penny! She saved my breastfeeding journey.
