When I think of going, my anxiety levels start going up and then I put it off. I've had some good experiences in my past, but those experiences have been trumped by the recent negative ones. This office and staff have really changed my perception of the dreaded dentist visit! Check them out! Have to give a big shout out to Michelle, Krista and Dr. Cho- just had a cleaning and my teeth look BEAUTIFUL! Hands down the best dentist I've even been to. Their entire staff is fantastic :-)If you are someone who experiences severe anxiety when going to the dentist and having work done, I strongly encourage you to visit Dr. Cho and his team. He took my anxiety seriously and we worked out a medication plan to ensure that I would be at ease during the procedure. I called Monday morning to schedule an appointment since my crown fell off. I was able to get in at 10:30 am. I was greeted by Sarah who was super nice and kept me company until Dr. Khalil came by. Dr. Khalil looked at my tooth and had me return later in the afternoon, to allow enough time to complete the work. I also do not have insurance and Michelle was so nice and offered a few options. I ended up applying for CareCredit. Michelle also told me what insurance companies they accept and I will be looking into those. All in all, there is a reason this place has 5 stars. Looking forward to getting more work done here.

I have been a patient of this practice for about 2 years. As someone who normally hates going to the dentist, this team goes out of their way to make sure patients are comfortable and receive the best care! Caitlin is the best hygienist I've ever had and always makes dental cleanings as pleasant as possible. I have also used Arlington Dentistry by Design for Invisalign, and they provided top-quality care throughout my entire treatment. The entire staff is incredibly kind and makes the dreaded task of dental care a positive experience.

10/28 Update: After my initial review, I received a call from the staff, and it was clear that they truly care about their patients. I returned for a second consultation, this time with Dr. Joseph, and we had an in-depth discussion about my options. We covered everything from the procedure itself to my retainer. Rather than tossing out my current retainer, he offered to reshape it to fit my new tooth! He took the time to explain his approach thoroughly and showed genuine respect for my goals. Anyone who’s dealt with a chipped tooth can probably understand the relief I felt when he provided a path to a natural-looking smile. Dr. Joseph’s empathy and expertise really stood out. He described his technique, and it was exactly what I hoped to hear. I left feeling optimistic and thrilled to have found a dentist I can trust for life. Normally, I’m not a fan of dental visits, and I work hard to keep my teeth in good shape. But for the first time, I’m actually looking forward to this procedure! I’ll update once it’s done, but I wanted to share this now to ensure my review reflects my experience so far. I also want to mention how wonderful the staff is! They are incredibly personable, considerate, and genuinely seem to enjoy working there. It’s such a refreshing change from other offices I’ve been to, where staff can sometimes be snippy or seem unhappy with their work. Here, everyone is just so friendly. One of the assistants even took the time to stop by and say hello personally! 10/23 To clarify my 1-star rating, it’s solely for the dentist—not the supporting staff, who definitely deserve 5 stars. My chipped tooth was salvageable, as I’d saved the chipped piece, which could have been reattached. However, the dentist declined, claiming there was no literature supporting that option, despite there actually being research on it. I suspect he may have limited experience (possibly less than five years), and I would have appreciated if he’d sought a second opinion. Though he was polite and our conversation was cordial, I asked multiple times about using the original chip. Instead, he patched it up in a way that looks unnatural—like a flat cutting board rather than a natural, beveled tooth. I feel that my chance to repair the tooth naturally was dismissed, and the end result isn’t ideal. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this office for specialized dental work.

Dentistry By Design is simply the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Dr Cho is truly an artist and a perfectionist, with a great chair-side manner—exactly what you’d want in a dentist. It’s reassuring to have someone with his expertise and professionalism handling my dental health. Their dental assistants are top-notch as well. Dentistry By Design has my highest recommendation.

I went in for a veneer replacement after it had popped off while overseas and was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Cho said he didn’t recommend me replacing it. He explained how the dentist that repaired the tooth did a great job and replacing it wouldn’t have much benefit other than the costs. I appreciated how he prioritized my dental health over profit. He could have easily recommended replacement knowing it may not have been the best option but didn’t. His staff was great! They got me in within the same day and were delightful to work with! Very clean and professional office. THANK YOU! I’ll be back for any other cosmetic work I decide to get and recommend this practice to anyone in search for an incredible dentist! THANK YOU!!!
